Apparently, all playable dinosaurs on a game named Dinosaur Simulator have a growth rate multiplier which is also more known as GRM. This kind of thing determines how fast the dinosaur takes to grow, along with affecting the other statistics in game. Keep in mind that the time it takes to grow from a baby to an elder is determined by the growth rate. Basically, the lower the growth rate, the faster the dinosaur grows. As the contrary, the higher the growth rate, the slower the dinosaur grows.
The Dinosaur Simulator growth rate is used to balance the stats of dinosaur. The stronger and better dinosaurs with higher base stats have a higher growth rate. On the other side, the weaker dinosaurs with low base stats have a lower growth rate. For your information, the animal with the highest growth rate or grows the slowest is called Barosaurus. It is the one with 1 3.0 GRM. Meanwhile, the animals with the lowest growth rate or grows the fastest are Coelacanth and Megalodon with a 0.1 GRM.
In fact, there is a relation between growth rate and DNA earnings. A particular amount of DNA will be given to players for each day alive, along with the life stage evolution. For the Update Ver 4.1.2, the amount of DNA given each day depends on the growth rate of the dinosaur being played as and the value of the day. As for the amount of days passed, it is multiplied by the growth rate with the product being rounded up. It is stated that the max day value is 25. It means that the max any dinosaur will generate for you is (dinosaur growth rate multiplier*25=DNA value). For instance, a thing called Mosasaurus has a GRM of 1.5. Therefore, after day 10, the player will earn the additional 15 DNA for surviving day 10. The calculation goes 10*1.5=15.
The Barosaurus is named as the best dinosaur to use to farm DNA given a day in game. As stated before, the Barosaurus has the highest GRM of 3.0. it means it will earn DNA significantly faster each day than other dinosaurs. The player will get 75 DNA per day after day 25 with Barosaurus, which is the most DNA given each day after day 25. For instance, with the Tyrannosaurus Rex with a GRM of 1, on day 25, it will earn a max of 25 DNA each day and each other day after that 25 DNA as it has a GRM of 1. In fact, the Coelocanth will earn players the least amount of DNA given each day as it has the lowest GRM of 0.1. It can be concluded that after day 25, it will earn 0.1*25=2.5 rounded to 3 DNA each day. How about the length of time for animal growth? The period of a creature gets older depends on the growth rate. For our information, the formula is: growth rate x 20 = days to elder.
